Material information:
Chipboard: Chipboard, known as chipboard, is a composite wooden material manufactured from small pieces of wood, usually pine or fir, glued together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in furniture manufacturing, interior surfaces, and structural applications. It is made from recycled materials and is resistant to bending, friction, and other physical stresses.
Melamine (LPB): LPB (Low Pressure Melamine) melamine is a synthetic material widely used in the surface processing of chipboard in the manufacture of furniture and surfaces, due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF (Medium-density fibreboard/fibreboard) or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.
Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture manufacturing, offering a range of advantages compared to other materials. It is extremely resistant to wear, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity in furniture. In addition to the properties mentioned above, metal may also have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Maintenance instructions:
Chipboard: For cleaning chipboard, you can use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
Melamine (LPB): To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Wipe the surface gently until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, therefore it is important to protect it from water.
Metal: For any indoor metal, dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth at regular intervals is the recommended option. However, if it concerns outdoor metal furniture, you should follow the steps below:
For longer-lasting protection, coat your metal furniture with a protective cream that you can easily obtain from retail stores.
If your furniture is processed and painted with the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting), then it is highly durable and easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
If your metal furniture does not have electrostatic paint, then you should take greater care and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover it with special covers and during winter place it indoors if possible.
If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine and then apply anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with oxidation-resistant paint.
